Majors
At this level the game is played at
a more competitive level baseball and follow the rules of Major
League Baseball closely. Players are allowed to lead-off and
steal from all bases. Managers will now have the opportunity to
execute the finer tactics of advanced baseball.
11/12 YEAR OLDS
-
Teams
will roster bat (all players on the team must bat in order).
-
All
players must play a minimum of 6 defensive outs.
-
6 run
limit or 3 outs per inning.
-
All
catchers, batters and base runners must wear helmets with
face masks.
-
Field
dimensions are 70 ft. bases and 50 ft. pitching rubber.

Bases are
open (lead offs allowed).
-
Balks
will be called. Umpires will not enforce
balks by the pitcher until games played on or
after April 26th.
Before April 26th umpires will notify coaches and
pitchers of a balk so they may correct any move causing a
balk.

No inning
will start after 90 minutes of play.
If you start the inning before 90 minutes has
expired, you must finish the inning.

Squeeze
play is allowed. In the event of a
squeeze play, the batter MUST bunt or take the pitch.
If the batter swings the bat, the batter is out, the
runner is out and the 3rd base coach is ejected.

With the
bases loaded, 2 outs and the count on the batter full (3
balls, 2 strikes), the runner from third base shall not run
hard to the plate until the batter swings. If the runner
does run hard, the runner is out and the 3rd base
coach is ejected.
